Closeout Sale Details

OK ladies, the Closeout sale hosted by Chloe Chic Bowtique for Mommy and Me Glam is scheduled for Friday 9/30/2011 at 5pm MST (or 8 pm EST).

A few things: 1st you must sign up to participate, might as well go do this now before you forget, this is required of us by Facebook. You may find the sign up form here:

2nd, Please familiarize yourself with the shipping costs:

***Shipping
$1-$30: $3.99
$30.01-$60: $5.99
$60.01-$90: $7.99
$90.01-$120: $8.99
$120 & up: $9.99
Shipping is based off your grand total in RETAIL goods. For example if you buy 3 items that are normally $50 each but the sale price is $30 each, shipping charges are based off the $150 worth of goods, and would be $8.99. It still costs the same to ship a closeout item as it does to ship a retail item.

3rd cheating and cattiness will not be tolerated. Facebook often marks comments made within quick succession as spam and this hides those comments from public view, also extremely high privacy settings prevents some members from viewing others comments. ADMINS and page owners can see EVERY comment made and will also receive an email with every comment made. If a buyer is announced for an item that you think you should be the buyer of, please private message or email myself or mommy and me glam and we will be happy to re-count or explain to you why you were not the buyer. Deleting comments is backing out and/or CHEATING if a participant engages in this, they will be immediately banned from purchasing items in the sale and permanently from the CCB page. So please only participate if you are serious and can pay for the items you buy. Invoices must be paid within 24 hrs after receipt.
Please post all questions on the wall or via PM during the game, NO QUESTIONS ON THE ITEM up for sale, as all comments are considered a bid to buy.

Thank you ladies for understanding why there is a need for this 3rd part and respect your fellow participants. If all goes well and everyone does this, it should be quite a fun and exciting evening, loaded with great deals!
Love,
Amy-CCB

What little girl wouldn't love wearing the same adorable "ballerina" tutu as her favorite dolly? I think that is the sweetest idea!

Just for fun!

Ladies! I have found a bow I cannot make and ship to you! LOL
This is soooooo much fun I just had to share. I found a tutorial on the cutest little Kawaii Blog about how to make the lady gaga "hair bow". I was intrigued and watched it, and somewhere between me pressing play and the end I fell in LOVE.
Naturally I had to master the hair bow.....Please be warned I am having a curly frizzy mess of a hair day, but yes I will share pics!
Please do this and send me pictures, I want to see :)
Here is the video and link to the original blog post: Original Blog Post Clicky Here
And here are my results with the mop I was working with today (sorry webcam pics, not high quality)
Noah in the background makes this pic perfect! LOL

Also had to get (or try to) my Hello Kitty nail in there as well!

Not Entirely Related...

But oh so cute! Almost a year ago my daughter was born, and set this whole thing into motion, as the date draws closer, plans are coming together left and right. I finished her party hat, and I can't even tell you how pleased I am with it!
Adorable right?! I used a real wafflecone, pleated some crepe/tisue paper up into 2 frilly bases for the bottom, glued sprinkles along the edges, and one of the frilly bases onto the cone. I then glued the cone onto the headband and glued the second frilly base on the underside up against the other base. This shoudl hold the hat onto the headband. I then took some organza and a cupcake liner cut slits in them(but not all the way down) and rolled it into a lolipop stick shape, i glued this portion in the top of the cone and fluffed the "streamers". Add a bow and embellishment and Voila! Let the party begin!
Mr. Penguin was my model, since Chlo refused to sit still.
Looks so good I could eat it!

Chloe Finally decided she would cooperate and tried it on for me!

and look what else came today also...........(not bow related at all! eep)

Sisters on Purpose

My mother-in-law and her sisters have recently organized and founded a women's retreat, called Sisters on Purpose. The "maiden voyage" this year was to Spoleto, Italy. They took a group of women to Italy to embark on a trip that was beyond "sightseeing", but moreso soul-searching in an amazing location. Its the most inspiring story of women bonding together and growing with each other and within themselves I have heard in a long time. I wanted to share with you their story and let you know of her Facebook fan page (Click Here!), where you can find details on the 2 upcoming trips they have planned this year for Germany and Italy. Enjoy! and Spread the Word!

"Siblings by Chance ~ Sisters on Purpose”

If we seem a little tongue tied when asked to explain our story, why we’re doing what we’re doing and exactly what it is we are doing, it’s because this moment in time feels almost accidental to us and hard to describe. It is the culmination of countless moments in our shared history and adequate description must include some background.  The thing is, our background, like so many others of a certain age, has millions of little branches along the way making it difficult to stay focused on an exact route.  But here’s our attempt.

We’re 3 sisters, with 2 different mothers and 1 mutual father.  Debbie, the oldest lived down the street from Sylvia, the next oldest and Katy, the youngest, in the small town of Price, UT.   We went to the same schools, the same church and even had mostly the same teachers.

Although we loved each other as siblings, we had very different lives, different interests and different friends. And while we weren’t what you would call super close, something happened as we neared adulthood. It’s not easy to explain, and wasn’t conscious at the time, but looking back now, we were intrinsically drawn to each other.

Our sisterhood took a turn when, in February 1985, through a series of “branches”, Debbie, married with 3 children, moved her family to Scottsdale, AZ.  Sylvia simultaneously got a new job and moved to Scottsdale as well to become roommates with Debbie, and her family. Katy,  attending Weber State University decided to spend Spring Break in Scottsdale with her sisters.  We truly enjoyed each others’ company and, while it would take a few years for us to officially name it, Sisters’ Weekend was born. Each year, around Spring Break, we would plan to be somewhere together even for only a couple of days.

At first these trips were primarily about seeing each other, escaping from our own current lives and blowing off steam.  Oh, it wasn’t always perfect.  There were arguments, missed flights, tears, apologies, and hugs.  But most of all there was growth, both as individuals and as sisters.  We came to love each other, not just as siblings, but as friends, as confidants, as inspirations, and as pieces of ourselves.

The years brought new marriages, babies, divorces, health scares, personal struggles, deaths, new careers, and grandbabies.  They also brought a desire to share this experience of closeness, growth and nourishment.   We wanted to spread the joy we had discovered in and through each other.  Our target audience naturally became other women, who pour so much of their time and energy into their children, families and work and many times spread themselves so thin they no longer have the time or energy to refuel.  We believe the key factors which make Sisters’ Weekend so valuable and we want to mimic are:
  •     Travel
  •      Discussions
  •      Solitude
  •      Wonderful Food
  •      Beautiful Surroundings

Our goal is strive to combine these factors into a travel experience which, we hope, will allow you, to get out of your physical element/distractions creating an opportunity to regroup; be inspired by the stories and insights of other like minded women; have moments of alone time; all the while enjoying wonderful food in beautiful surroundings sprinkled with understanding, compassion, acceptance, passion and motivation that can nourish our souls.

Arianna Ramirez 5 yrs old

Today I sat down at my desk to start working, answering emails and sending invoices, when I logged onto facebook is when my day took a turn in a different direction. My friend and blogger http://heidisimpson.blogspot.com/ had a picture up of a very beautiful little girl, named Arianna
She was sharing the news that the Ramirez family had just learned that Arianna had relapsed. When I read these words, my heart broke:
"Tisha and Enrique just posted: Well as many of you all may know by now, we are living any parents worst nightmare, we just found out yesterday that Arianna relapsed. The doctors arent giving us much other than make as many memories as possible. Please pray for comfort and piece for our baby girl and what she has to face with the hard times set in front of her."

I cannot imagine the fear and pain that this family must be feeling and my heart goes out to them so much! I will be sending prayers to them for as long as they need them and I ask you to do the same. You can join a support and love group for the Ramirez family on Facebook here: We Love Arianna Ramirez and Family As I was looking through the group and of the picture of Arianna I decided I wanted to brighten her day just a little so I will be sending her, her own custom made bow, Noah is going to maker her a drawing, and we will send a card from our family. I know they do not know us and that this wont take the pain of the situation away, but if it can put a smile on this sweet girl's face, then that is just what I want to do.

Boutique Spotlight: Good Morning Grasshopper

Chloe chic bowtique has found such a treasure in our clay girl. She is an art student that used to sell polymer clay charms/beads/etc of etsy, until I came to her one day asking her to make bow centers. Her work is amazing, & her prices can't be beat. She used to make bow centers for me and my shop excluseively until she had more time (she was planning a wedding and was a full time student!) But she is now a Mrs. and has more time to dedicate to her work, so I am sharing her with others!

I only ask you let her know I sent you, no I am not getting anything out of it, I just told her that I would sent lots and lots of people her way! Here is her FB page: Good-Morning-Grasshopper s Check her out!

Shipping to Canada

During the postal strike, I cannot ship to Canada, I understand the frustration this may cause my Canadian customers and I am truly sorry for that. I will resume shipping to Canada as soon as the situation is resolved and Canada post resumes operation. If you are a Canadian customer on my wait list I will be skipping your name until the situation resolves itself. if you were skipped, your name will remain at the top of the list, so that once normal shipping resumes it will be your turn! I hope this seems fair, as best as it can. You may read more about the US not accepting packages for mailing to Canada here: U.S. cuts off mail to Canada

The U.S. postal service is no longer accepting mail to Canada
By Sheldon Alberts
Postmedia News Washington Correspondent
WASHINGTON — The United States Postal Service on Friday stopped accepting all mail to Canada on the expectation that the labour dispute between Canada Post and its workers will last at least into next week.
In a statement, the USPS said it would “suspend accepting mail destined to Canada” starting Saturday at 11:59 central daylight time.
“As a convenience to our customers and to minimize service disruptions, we arranged to accept mail destined for Canada as long as possible,” Giselle Valero, a USPS vice president, said in the statement.
“We will continue to closely monitor the strike situation, and once Canada Post resumes operations, the U.S. Postal Service will again begin accepting mail for Canada. We also will then resume processing any Canadian-destined mail currently held in our network.”
Canada Post locked out 50,000 employees and suspended operations across the country on Tuesday following 12 days of rotating strikes.
The Conservative government has announced plans to introduce back-to-work legislation to end the labour dispute.
A meeting Friday between Deepak Chopra, the chief executive of Canada Post, and Denis Leveling, president of the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, did not produce any progress on major issues, Canada Post said.
“The union continues to have too many demands that would drive up costs, limit operational flexibility and restrict Canada Post’s ability to address fundamental problems such as declining mail volumes, competitiveness and a $3.2-billion deficit in the pension plan,” Canada Post said in a statement.
“The company’s financial position has been further weakened by uncertainty and rotating strikes that began on June 3 and cost close to $100 million in lost revenues.”
Americans can continue to send letters and packages via the USPS’s Global Express Guaranteed courier service during the strike.

We Have a Blog!

Hello everyone! I have created this blog to comply with facebooks conditions and terms of use for fan pages, concerning promotions and giveaways, etc. You will be able to enter giveaways, find exclusive deals and more via the CCB blog!
First thing on the agenda? Comment game! Friday June 24th 830 EST (530 AZ time) I hope you all can make it! here are the details!

If you dont feel comfortable leaving your email on FB you may email me the C&P rules and then sign your name and "I agree" that way!

How to play:
____________________

How it works, I will post a photo, one by one on my wall photos of an item. When the photo is posted it will have a caption with info and discounted price. for example:

"Neon green basic bow, $2 to the 5th comment!"

Buyers can then comment on the item trying to win it for that discounted price! You can comment as many times as you want, YOU DO NOT have to comment only once!
For example, you can comment 5 times in a row to try and win that item!

But be fast! People get to battle it out and try and win that certain item :) some go SUPER quick so you have to be fast!!!

You will need to contact me via the fan page or the contact tab to inform me of where you would like your invoice sent to immediately upon completion of the game, or I will release the item to the FIRST COMMENTER. (if the original winner was the first comment, then the second comment will be the runner-up)

**DO NOT comment on an item asking questions, instead PLEASE post on my wall! it will mess up the comment orders if you post on the photos. all comments like this will be deleted.

**PLEASE COMMENT CLAIMING THE ITEM. for example post MINE, ME, SOLD, WANT it etc!

**DO NOT CHEAT! This is completely unfair to my customers and will not be tolerated at anytime. So DO NOT try and delete comments, or cheat during the game. I get email notifications of all comments/etc to my inbox.
If you are caught (and you will be) you will be banned from this page.

**If you have any questions please ask prior to the game. During the game I am limited with time and cant answer questions pertaining to what will be coming out next, etc. The game moves very fast and is alot of work to keep up with and is very time consuming. I do my best to be as fast as I can during the games, but may miss a question or two. Please be patient with me, im only one person and can only do so much at once <3

**After the comment game ends, I will set up invoice for all customers who won an item or items. I will send everyone their comment game invoice once they are up and
ready to be paid :) you will have 24 hours to pay, failure to pay within 24 hours will result in termination and termination for any future comment games.
